چکیده
The Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) is a future collider planned to be built at BNL in about decade. It will provide physicists with high luminosity and highly polarized beams wide range of nuclei species different energies, covering an extensive kinematic range. EIC physics goals include measuring the Generalized Parton Distribution (GPD) from Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) Meson Production (DVMP) experiments, performing precision 3D imaging structure, studying color confinement hadronization mechanisms, understanding spin structure proton. In order meet EIC, highresolution electromagnetic calorimeter (EMCAL) required measure electrons photons achieve good particle identification. We propose develop tungsten/shashlik (W/shashlik) EMCAL better readout configuration energy position resolution. this work, we present GEANT4 detector simulation results ofWand Pb shashlik study π 0 merging probability as function performance resolutions for ECCE design.

The Electron-Ion Collider
The future Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) is a proposed new facility to collide high-energy electrons with beams of polarized protons/light nuclei and unpolarized nuclei. We overview the goals of the project and key measurements at the EIC. We also briefly comment on recent developments of the project.
متن کاملOverview on the Future Electron-Ion Collider Projects
One of the large new projects envisioned for the future US nuclear physics program is the construction of a high-energy electron ion collider. The motivation for such a machine would be primary directed at the study of the nucleon spin structure using polarized light ions and the study of low x gluon distributions in heavy nuclei. Two candidates coming from the two large DOE nuclear physics fac...
متن کاملCsI ELECTROMAGNETIC CALORIMETER DEVELOPMENT FOR A LOW OR MEDIUM ENERGY e+e- COLLIDER
Design considerations for an electromagnetic CsI calorimeter suitable for use at low and medium energy, high-luminosity e+estorage rings are presented, together with results of a test of an array of CsI(Tl) crystals in an e/ zbeam (120 to 400 MeV) at TRIUMF. The crystal array used in the test was designed to explore longitudinal and transverse crystal segmentation, and a redundant wavelength-sh...
متن کاملe+A physics at a future Electron-Ion Collider
s = 63 158 (40 110) GeV/A for e+p (e+A) collisions. Whilst gluon distributions have been studied extensively in nucleons at HERA, there is very little information on them for x < 0.1 in nuclei. The rapid increase in the gluon momentum distribution at low-x in nucleons found at HERA, if not tamed, leads to the violation of the Froissart Unitarity Bound at small-x. This can be achieved in non-lin...
